Dog snacks and cat snacks made by DOKAS are subject to regular quality inspections by SGS Institut Fresenius. This independent testing institute enjoys an excellent reputation for its food quality inspections, particularly in Germany, and offers many years of experience.
SGS Institut Fresenius determines the nutritional values of DOKAS snacks at fixed intervals. In addition, all DOKAS production facilities pass unannounced supplier audits twice a year.
This voluntary inspection programme therefore guarantees consistently high-quality products, which DOKAS can visibly indicate on its products with a symbol.
DOKAS also relies on SGS Institut Fresenius' expertise in other areas i. e. for chemical and microbiological laboratory tests and product declaration.
Even products without the SGS Institut Fresenius seal are subject to the same strict test criteria. This means that we make no compromises and rely on our proven quality strategy right from the start.
Because the highest degree of measurable quality is the result of regular and permanent examinations. Therefore, our snacks only receive the well-established quality stamp after a meticulous testing process.
Composition and ingredients
Snacks play an important role in feeding your pet these days. A reward or a treat every now and then is part of your dog or cat's diet. However, a healthy diet is becoming evermore important. For this very reason, snacks don't just have to be tasty so that your pet will love them, but also have to be easily digestible and easy to handle. Therefore, we pay close attention to the quality and production of our snacks. We are very meticulous when it comes to selecting ingredients and focus intensively on producing the best possible snacks. The raw materials and the end product are also inspected regularly throughout the entire manufacturing process. Every company that produces for us is subject to strict inspection criteria in order to comply with the necessary quality standards (i.e. BRC, IFS). But that's not all! We rely on SGS Institut Fresenius' independent expertise as one of the world's leading bodies for product testing and certifications in end product testing and inspecting our snack production facilities.
Meat is one of the main constituents of a dog or cat’s diet, and is therefore the basis for most of our snacks. By carefully selecting raw materials and carefully processing them, high-quality nutrients such as protein and fats in our snacks can contribute to maintaining a natural diet for your pet.
Fish is a healthy and nutritious alternative to our meat products. It boasts a high percentage of unsaturated fatty acids. Omega 3 fatty acids help your pet to maintain healthy skin and a shiny coat.
A very popular food for dogs and cats, offal is an important source of vitamins and minerals. For the complete nutrition of dogs and cats, offal should, therefore, be included in the daily diet and is a valuable supplement not only for raw feeding.
Insects traditionally make up the diet of about 1/4 of the world's population, according to the available data. Many are even considered a true “delicacy”. They not only provide high-quality proteins, but also valuable fatty acids and minerals. The use of insects also contributes to climate and environmental protection
As with humans, the vitamin and trace element content of fruit and vegetables has a positive effect on the well-being of the four-legged friends. Selected, for the animals compatible varieties in appropriate quantities, are therefore part of a varied and balanced diet for your pet. We like to combine meat and fish with apple, banana, carrot and sweet potato.
Hunde benötigen Salz insbesondere zur Produktion von Salzsäure im Magen und zur Aufrechterhaltung der Nervenfunktion. Die Salzsäureproduktion im Magen ist wiederum für die Fleischverdauung notwendig. Es enthält zu dem wichtige Mineralstoffe. Wir setzen nur geringe Mengen <0,3% ein.
Yeast is high-protein and has a high biological value. Your pet's body can put the protein in yeast to good use. A further advantage of yeast is that it contains valuable vitamins and minerals which are needed to maintain skin cells and fur.
Oats have a high content of unsaturated fatty acids, minerals and B vitamins. They are rich in zinc, iron, magnesium and phosphorus. Oats also contain dietary fibre, which regulates digestion and can have a positive effect on the dog's intestinal flora
Vegetable by-products are materials which have been extracted after the processing of plant products such as vegetables or legumes. We only use high-quality raw materials for production reasons. We at DOKAS do not use any substandard waste products or bulking agents.

Derived from yeast cell walls, they are considered complex carbohydrate compounds. MOS can naturally stimulate the body's own immune system. They support the reproduction of healthy intestinal bacteria and interrupt the binding of harmful bacteria to the intestinal wall. The regular ingestion of MOS can help to keep the formation of bacteria of the intestine in a healthy balance.
Our chews are made of cowhide. We attach great importance to traditional processing and a gentle manufacturing process. Mostly we combine them with other ingredients such as fish skin or meat and thus give the chewing snack a special touch, which ensures excellent acceptance by the dogs. In addition, they are a useful occupation for your favourite and suitable as a "toothbrush" for the dog.
Tip: Dogs that regularly get bones leave unwanted "chewing objects" such as shoes, carpets and furniture alone.
We want to always be one paw ahead when it comes to developing our snacks.
We therefore only have our products manufactured in production facilities that are controlled by independent institutes and meet our high quality standards. For a trusting basis, we also rely on close and open cooperation with our partners.
